The story of MiraSound began on a school field trip. An anxious boy sat alone on the bus, hands over his ears, eyes shut tightly as the laughter and chatter around him became too overwhelming. His name was Minh — and he reminded Lan, an audio engineer and aunt to a neurodivergent niece, of someone she loved deeply.
That evening, Lan went home with one thought echoing in her mind:
“What if sound could be filtered, not blocked — and safety could be worn like a hug?”
She began building the first MiraSound headset: not noise-canceling in the usual way, but sound-balancing — softening sharp tones, amplifying soothing voices, and gently dimming the world when it became too much.
Designing quiet that comforts, not isolates
Working late into nights with therapists, teachers, and families, Lan tested shapes, foam densities, audio profiles — even letting children decorate their own pair. After 11 months, MiraSound became more than a product. It became a voice of calm for children who often felt out of place in noisy classrooms or family gatherings.
Then, a mother wrote:
“For the first time, my son joined us at the dinner table and stayed until dessert. With MiraSound, he didn’t feel like hiding anymore.”
